Benjamin Morel: Visual Creator and Cinematographer

My name is Benjamin Morel, a Brussels-based director of photography thriving in the Belgian film industry. With a profound passion for visual storytelling, I dedicate my craft to bringing directors' visions to life, ensuring that each frame resonates with strong and evocative imagery.

My artistic vision as a cinematographer emphasizes close collaboration with film directors, focusing on translating their ideas into powerful visual narratives. I am deeply committed to "mise-en-scène" and the narrative power of imagery, by fostering a close and intimate creative partnership with directors. From the story of a basketball player in post-genocide Rwanda filmed between Belgium and Rwanda, a Netflix drama with a German protagonist, to a family drama short film filmed between Belgium and France, my experience with story-telling, visual creation, and collaborating with directors and types of stories is diverse. This dedication not only demonstrates my active involvement in the filmmaking process but also my relentless drive to create compelling visual stories.

Primarily working on fiction films, my role as a visual creator is paramount. My ability to craft visually striking and emotionally engaging scenes sets me apart, highlighting my desire and enthusiasm for filmmaking.
